• Access to the system is only through 3-levels of authentication; Company ID/Username/Password

• We use industry-leading SSL encryption technology to safeguard data against unauthorized access and intrusion. Users can only connect to accountsIQ over a secure HTTPS connection

• Our secure firewall server adds another layer of data security to allow only permitted internet traffic
  

• Our servers are not shared, and are completely dedicated to our online accounting service

• Backups of our customers' online data are done nightly so customers can remain confident that their data is safe

• Microsoft security updates are constantly monitored and applied when necessary

• Independent databases for each client - no data is shared within the same database

• Data files are locked using Microsoft Windows & SQL Server 2005 security and permissions

• Our hosting partner provides hard drive redundancy in case of hard drive failures and data clustering in case of server failures. With hard drive redundancy, a second hard drive takes over if one fails. With data clustering, data is replicated to a secondary server creating two sets of live data in case one server fail

All of our data is hosted in an state of the art hosting facility, with the added security of 24/7 intrusion monitoring and redundant power supply

All accountsIQ servers and system data are held in a secure off-site hosting facility with external doors secured by electronic key access and pin code, biometric scanning and electronic key access for internal security.

Security guards monitor access to the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

There are redundant power systems, with back-up generators and UPS systems, together with sophisticated fire detection, and FM-200 gas suppression systems.


User Security

Our flexible user security function enables standard user profiles to be created that control the menu options and data that users can see

accountsIQ's flexible security system allows administrators to control what functions each user can access and view.

This allows for delegation of tasks and access rights according to business process requirements.

For example, owner managers can be set up with access to summary management reports; data entry clerks can be setup with access to order entry screens only, etc.
